Student guide: The Restaurant Test

Use one fictional scenario card. Compare the same task in two settings before deciding what should be shared.

1. Name the task, not the whole background story.
2. Pick two settings and identify who may have access, what the account or policy permits, and what consequences matter.
3. Choose: reasonable as stated, possible after a safer rewrite, use an approved route, or pause and verify.
4. Write a safer request, verification question, or decision to keep the task out of a general conversation.

No setting is automatically safe. Use fictional scenarios only.

Completion check: save your comparison, choice, reason, safer route, and one unknown you would verify in the Lab Notebook.
