In plain language
Human review means a person pauses to examine a result before anyone relies on it. The reviewer can question it, correct it, ask for more work, or decide not to use it.
Why it matters
Human review is more than a quick glance or approval click.
The reviewer needs enough information, time, and authority to disagree, correct the result, or stop the process.
Example
Before sending an AI-drafted customer notice, a staff member checks the dates, policy language, tone, missing facts, and whether the message should be sent at all.
