Introduced the learner-directed AI Literacy guide, assembled the AI Without the Hype internal package and GitHub review queue, and expanded the intranet contract to cover all durable project notes.

What Changed

Added the working internal draft of Introducing the RS AI Learning Lab, including an internal placeholder for its future public adaptation.

Replaced the active Zero-to-Hero AI Literacy track with AI Literacy for the Rest of Us, a learner-directed guide where tracks are maps and modules are selectable learning units.

  • Preserved the former track route as a clearly labeled compatibility page for dated notes and existing links.
  • Renamed the recommended introductory module to AI Without the Hype and preserved its former route as a compatibility page.
  • Added the reusable compatibility: true content contract so legacy pages render without appearing in track, module, or homepage cards.
  • Updated active track names, dependencies, cards, maps, templates, and planning references; Zero-to-Hero Agentic Literacy keeps its own name and now points to the new literacy guide.
  • Clarified the Prompting → Conversation → Context path as suggested rather than required, and left proposed Chatbot Roles and Modes and What’s Possible Beyond Text as unlinked Idea entries.
  • Recorded durable decisions for learner-directed participation, Track Guides, optional capstones, global safety and responsibility guidance, and the literacy-track rename.

AI Without the Hype Learning-Design Package

Expanded AI Without the Hype from a sketch into the first complete Learning Lab internal module-development package.

Added:

  • Revised learner-facing module structure and explicit learner-directed starting-point language
  • Presentation outline and human video-explainer brief
  • Facilitator guide, learner reflection worksheet, and safe example bank
  • Internal testing plan and updated status-governance evidence
  • Issue-ready contributor follow-up work for review, rehearsal, pilot planning, glossary work, and deferred enrichment

The module remains in Drafting for learner availability. It is ready for cold review, camera rehearsal, and a nonauthor facilitator dry run. It is not presented as a public class, finished video, or pilot-tested module.

GitHub Queue and Intranet Coverage

Created nine GitHub Issues for the AI Without the Hype review, rehearsal, pilot, glossary, video, and deferred-enrichment work. They are the contributor-facing queue; no GitHub Project was available for assignment, so they remain in the repository issue inbox.

Audited the source-to-intranet path. The Astro contract now publishes every durable project Markdown note, including project overview, contributor briefs, templates, status-governance evidence, and writing-review notes. Repository-control instructions and the GitHub pull-request template remain intentionally excluded. The sync now fails if a future durable Markdown note is not mapped to an intranet page.

Still in Progress

  • Full module revisions, lab and homework design, and facilitator materials
  • Human presentation and video packages
  • Approved global safety and responsibility guidance, feedback intake, and learner testing
  • Optional capstone design, credential research, and community or office-hours operations
