Escaping the Conversation Gravity Well

Every conversation accumulates momentum. A chatbot responds not only to the latest request, but to the history and framing that preceded it. This placeholder explores when a learner should continue, summarize and restart, branch, or intentionally discard prior context.

Purpose

Every conversation accumulates momentum. A chatbot responds not only to the latest request, but to the history and framing that preceded it. This placeholder explores when a learner should continue, summarize and restart, branch, or intentionally discard prior context.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Learners may later practice how to:

  1. Notice context accumulation, framing effects, conversational inertia, anchoring, and persuasion loops.
  2. Decide when an existing conversation remains useful.
  3. Summarize and restart without losing the useful parts of their work.
  4. Branch a conversation or discard context deliberately when the history has become a liability.

Relationship To Existing Material

This is a later, more focused companion to Conversation Engineering. It should not duplicate that beginner module’s core conversation cycle, checkpoints, or continue/steer/restart/stop practice.
