It Starts With a Question — Lab history & changelog
Origin story
This signature lab was created for the Becoming Curious Again module so the Curiosity track has one repeatable learner path of its own. It turns a learner-chosen question into one bounded exploration, keeps the origins and limits of what came back visible, and leaves the next step with the learner. AI was optional in the original version. The current activity includes one purposeful live AI job, with direct, partner-operated, or facilitator-operated participation.
Change log
2026-09-11
Clarified demonstration versus learner practice, added Safety and Reality Check handoffs to the Activity and synchronized Notebook, and aligned facilitator preparation and class voting. These revisions remain local until the next authorized release.
2026-09-08
Added the complete step-first Lab Notebook as an optional interactive alternative to the printable Question Path. Revised the module, Activity, Notebook contract, Question Path, and facilitator guide so the core experience requires one purposeful live generative AI job while preserving learner choice, account-free participation, and human judgment.
2026-09-07
Created the canonical Beta lab, Question Path, and facilitator guide; linked the signature activity to Becoming Curious Again and Invitation To Be Curious Again.
Reviewer brief
Use the Curiosity reviewer brief for delivery modes, intentional requirements, artifact roles, known gaps, and review expectations. This lab’s Activity owns the completion criteria; its Notebook must carry the same instructions and support links. Compare both after synchronization. Do not treat viewing the facilitator example or filling every Notebook field as completion.
