Gallery: Follow a Question
Labs reference: Gallery: Follow a Question.
These written walkthroughs show how a question changes as we investigate it. Each names its sources, the AI’s role, and what remains open. They are teaching examples; their provenance notes distinguish prepared material from recorded learner work.
Choose a demonstration
- How did people keep food cool before refrigerators? — Written walkthrough. Follow cooling across ancient courts, desert communities, palaces, rural households, and urban ice deliveries. The answer changes with place, time, resources, and access.
- Which mountain is tallest? — Written walkthrough. Compare sea level, an underwater base, and distance from Earth’s center. The answer changes with the measurement.
For a Zoom or in-person session, review both walkthroughs before offering the choice. At the opening of the session, read both questions aloud and let learners vote on which walkthrough to explore together. Then let the group choose a branch: a setting in refrigeration, or a measurement in mountains. Each walkthrough includes prompts for a live AI encounter and a source to open together. After the demonstration, learners follow their own inquiry individually, in pairs, or in groups.
