Event traffic light: choosing a safe starting point

Labs reference: Event traffic light: choosing a safe starting point.

Green — ready for this lab

  • The supplied fictional scenario.
  • Your own abstract idea or original notes.
  • Public-domain or licensed material when you record the source and terms you know.
  • A learner-owned asset used privately, when the learner is comfortable and has permission.

Yellow — pause, simplify, or substitute

  • An asset whose origin is unclear.
  • An organization or family image that may become public.
  • A familiar work that is doing too much of the directing.
  • A project with a public or commercial goal but no review plan.

Use a fictional substitute or a no-tool paper version until the source and intended use are clear.

Red — do not use in the activity

  • A request to imitate a living artist, a recognizable protected work, character, logo, or trademarked identity.
  • Private, sensitive, client, account, or another person’s material.
  • A request to get around a refusal, guardrail, or platform boundary.
  • A claim that the exercise, a prompt, or an output decides legal rights.
