Topic starters
Labs reference: Topic starters.
Use these low-risk starting conditions when a learner does not want to begin with a personal or workplace topic. For complete reasoning paths, use the Gallery.
Customer Conversation
Prepare a short explanation for a customer whose order is delayed. Preserve honesty and the relationship without promising a date that is not confirmed.
Useful criteria: honesty, empathy, clarity, and no unsupported promises.
What is at stake: The customer needs an honest expectation without losing trust because of a promise no one can keep.
Plausible next step: Agree on when and how the customer will receive the next confirmed update.
Community Event
Explain a neighborhood coffeehouse learning session to someone who is curious but does not consider themselves technical.
Useful criteria: welcoming language, concrete expectations, no hype, and a clear invitation.
What is at stake: The listener is deciding whether the session will welcome them and be worth their time.
Plausible next step: Invite the listener to ask one question or reserve a place without requiring a technical commitment.
Workplace or Small Business
Explain a proposed low-risk AI experiment to a colleague who is concerned about privacy and workload.
Useful criteria: limited scope, explicit boundaries, realistic benefit, privacy, and a reversible next step.
What is at stake: The colleague needs to know that privacy and workload will not be traded for an unproven benefit.
Plausible next step: Ask whether one bounded, reversible trial is worth approving and name the condition that would stop it.
Personal or Creative Alternative
Explain a hobby, volunteer role, creative project, or fictional service to a listener who knows little about it.
Useful criteria: natural voice, one memorable detail, understandable value, and no pressure to disclose personal information.
What is at stake: The listener should understand why the activity matters without the speaker revealing anything private.
Plausible next step: Invite one informed question, a visit, or a small way to participate that fits the fictional scenario.
