Change One Thing — Lab history & changelog
Origin story
This Alpha Curiosity continuation introduces deterministic model exploration through two hand-runnable rule sets. It supports AI for Learning: Tutor, Quizmaker, Simulator without changing that module’s status. AI audits the stated assumptions or proposes a check; the learner executes the rules and owns the interpretation.
Change log
2026-09-11
Created the six-step Activity, matching Notebook, required Model cards, facilitator guidance, and two constructed numeric walkthroughs. The mountain and ice-store examples extend the opening Curiosity Gallery without adding factual research or a simulation engine. Learning-design, accessibility, and model-boundary review remain open. Classroom evidence remains deferred under REN-535.
Reviewer brief
Use the Curiosity reviewer brief for shared delivery and review conventions. Review whether a beginner can predict first, inspect a live AI contribution, execute both runs, reset correctly, and explain one changed parameter without treating a toy result as real-world evidence. Compare the Activity and synchronized Notebook. The constructed Gallery is a teaching resource, not classroom evidence.
