Build a Tiny Virtual Museum — Lab history & changelog
Origin story
This lab was created around a focused learner practice: Build a themed virtual museum in Blender using four to eight images. The making is deliberately small: one room, a handful of image panels, readable labels, and a route a visitor can follow. The point is not photorealism or a perfect simulation. It is choosing a coherent set, keeping its source information intact, and turning it into an inviting shared experience. Its original Draft package brought the activity and supporting materials together for review before the canonical lab-page migration.
Change log
2026-09-11
Replaced generic result checks with museum-specific checks for panels, labels, visitor views, source and permission records, and image descriptions. Added a local text companion to the Activity, learner guide, and planning sheet so learners can provide each image’s title and description without implying an accessible 3D interface. Blender remains a required free install for this Intermediate lab; no live AI or public sharing is required.
2026-09-06
Bound the Lab Notebook to the canonical Activity’s completion and extension criteria, standardized result criteria as checklists, and synchronized the Notebook from that source.
Marked the Gallery Coming soon because it does not yet contain a linked example with an explicit provenance statement.
Moved learner-facing metadata, materials, relationships, and activity content into lab.md; retained this README as the lab origin story and change log.
Returned the lab to Alpha until the beginner Blender construction path is complete enough to run without missing procedural guidance.
