Student guide: A Safe First Try

Labs reference: Student guide: A Safe First Try.

  1. Choose the Maple Park source, a supplied transcript, or another fictional low-risk source.
  2. Copy the bounded request from the activity. Do not add private information to make the task feel more realistic.
  3. Read the output beside the original source. Mark anything that is missing, assumed, or invented.
  4. Answer the three human checks in your Lab Notebook.
  5. Write your ground rules and download the notebook before leaving the activity.

Recovery tips

If a response sounds confident, return to the source line by line. If you do not want to use a tool, use the supplied example and do the same checks. If a scenario begins to touch a high-stakes or private decision, stop and replace it with a fictional one.
