Before You Put Information In

Ask:

• Is this private?
• Is this confidential?
• Does this information belong to someone else?
• Am I authorized to share it?
• Can I remove names or unnecessary identifying details?
• Does my organization have rules about which tools or information may be used?

Before You Use What Comes Out

Ask:

• Does this answer need to be checked against a reliable source?
• Could the information be outdated?
• Did the chatbot provide evidence, or confident wording?
• Could acting on this affect someone’s health, money, employment, reputation, rights, or safety?
• Does a qualified human need to review this?

Reminder

Be thoughtful about what goes in. Be responsible for what comes out.
